  • Credit unions and banks that notarize for members and customers
  • Title, escrow and real estate offices
  • Law firms and legal service offices
  • Auto dealerships and lenders
  • Hospitals, clinics and senior living communities
  • Any business adding or renewing more than one notary

How it works for a team

  1. Email us your list: each employee's name, email and county. Send it to service@lonestarnotarybond.com.
  2. We send each employee the direct bond link and the Texas steps in the right order.
  3. Each employee completes checkout in about 10 minutes. Bond documents are emailed right away.
  4. Your team has one point of contact for questions: (512) 806-0045, Monday to Friday.

Texas requires the state notary education (SB693) before the application. We file the bond and the application with the Secretary of State for each employee. The full order of steps is in how to get a Texas notary bond.

Who pays

A notary commission belongs to the individual, so the bond is issued in the employee's name. Many employers pay for it or reimburse it as part of the job. Either way works with us.

Why E&O matters for your staff

The $10,000 bond protects the public, not your employee. If a claim is paid on the bond, the surety collects that amount back from the notary. The $5,000 of E&O included with every Lone Star Notary Bond bond is the coverage that protects your employee, up to its limit.

Common questions

Can the company buy the bond in its own name?

No. The commission and the bond are issued to the individual notary. The employer can pay for it or reimburse the employee.

What happens when an employee leaves?

The commission and the bond stay with the notary. They are personal to the employee, not tied to the employer.

How do we get started?

Email your employee list to service@lonestarnotarybond.com or call (512) 806-0045. We send each employee the bond link and the Texas steps.

Is E&O included for each employee?

Yes. Every bond includes $5,000 of E&O at no extra cost, and each employee can raise the limit at checkout.
