Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of lonestarnotarybond.com (the "Site") and the services provided by Stockton-Hill Insurance LLC, doing business as Lone Star Notary Bond ("Lone Star Notary Bond," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site or our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

Lone Star Notary Bond helps Texas residents obtain or renew a Texas notary commission, including the purchase of a Texas notary surety bond underwritten by American Surety Company (ASC). We also provide guidance regarding the state's notary education requirement, which is administered solely by the Texas Secretary of State.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a Texas resident eligible for a notary commission to use our bond services.

3. Bond Purchases, Fees, and Payment

The notary bond is $45. At checkout you also pay the $21 Texas Secretary of State application fee, which we collect and file on your behalf, for a total of $66 paid to us. The state's notary education and assessment fee (approximately $20 per attempt) is paid separately and directly to the Texas Secretary of State. All fees are subject to change, and state fees are set by the State of Texas.

By providing your mobile phone number to Stockton-Hill Insurance LLC dba Lone Star Notary Bond, you agree to receive SMS/text messages regarding notary bond applications, policy and service updates, billing, document requests, appointment scheduling, and related account communications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. 5. Notary Education Disclaimer

The Texas notary education course and assessment required under SB693 are provided only by the Texas Secretary of State. We do not provide, sell, administer, or charge for the state education. Any guidance we offer is informational only.

6. Insurance and Agency Disclosure

Lone Star Notary Bond is a service of Stockton-Hill Insurance LLC, a licensed Texas insurance agency. Surety bonds are underwritten by American Surety Company, an A-rated carrier. Insurance services are subject to availability and underwriting approval. Any optional insurance discussion is conducted by a licensed Texas agent and carries no obligation.

8. Intellectual Property

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The Effective Date above shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated Terms.
